What does Jack do?

Who is he?

Jack Steinmann made his first film at the age of 12. The three minute hand-drawn animation titled “The Burning Church" took first place in the Dave Moore Film Festival, (sponsored by the revered WCCO TV news anchor Dave Moore). Jack went on to direct, produce and edit narrative films and videos throughout high school and college, including some of the first features ever shot in Super 8 and on videotape.

Ever since then, Jack has worked in the business of content production for TV, radio and online. His first job in advertising was producing commercials at Bozell and Jacobs, and later at Carmichael Lynch where he served as the head of broadcast production, executive producer and partner.

For the past 20 years, Jack has worked with some of the most acclaimed creative teams, directors, editors, musicians and performers in the business, producing marquee advertising for Porsche, Northwest Airlines, Harley-Davidson, IKEA, Coke and many other premiere brands.

Jack continues today as a content producer and consultant, with an agency roster including Barrie D’Rozario Murphy, Colle+McVoy, Flow Creative, Gabriel deGrood Bendt and Peterson Milla Hooks, and a client roster including United Airlines, Best Buy and Target.

Jack is an avid photographer and pop culture votary. He draws inspiration from the work of Roy Lichtenstein, René Magritte, Andreas Gursky, George Segal, Frank Lloyd Wright, Peter Sellers, Hergé, Robert Fisk, Mort Sahl, Aimee Mann, Robert Altman, Hal Ashby, Alan J. Pakula and Nicolas Roeg.

Jack lives in St. Paul and enjoys family life with wife Lisa and their three children.
